Akhirah feels that providing a safe space, free of judgement, is essential to helping individuals gain better understanding and discover strategies to improve their functioning and relationships with others. Akhirah enjoys working with a diverse population including geriatric and at-risk youth. Akhirah has provided in-house intensive individual and family therapy throughout New Jersey, in addition to providing services to students within local school districts. Akhirah teaches Introduction to Psychology, Theories of Personality, Human Relations, Psychology of Adjustment, Understanding Social Behavior, Social Inequality: Gender, Race and Class, and Marriage & Family.
